Who are the Green Team?
These Eco Monitors are elected by their peers and work together to improve the school, local community and environment.
The Team take the lead in helping to educate our school about environmental issues and sustainability. Eco Monitors in each class will help remind classmates and teachers to ‘stay green’ by switching things off and recycling.
Projects for 2022 – 2023
This year the Green Team will be working with our Compass Schools – Dinton, Horningsham and Wylye Valley. There are three meetings planned to share their intent, Implementation and Impact of the Green Team.
The suggestion to improve recycling has been actioned and we now have a recycling collection every two weeks. This has helped us to reduce the weekly waste to Hills Recycling which over flowed most weeks and covered are school car park in rubbish. We are also encouraging the families to reduce the plastic waste in KS2 lunches.
